In years 7,8 and 9 we teach you the basic foundations to become a creative and imaginative artist! You will discover the power of colour, line, shape and form. You will explore art history from prehistoric to present day and try out a variety of techniques from Graffiti to ceramics! We hope you enjoy exploring and discovering the arts and your imagination! Year 7
The year 7 Curriculum aims to equip our students with the foundations to become great artists. You will study the formal elements of art such as line, form, tone, texture and colour theory. You will research different artists and cultures to inspire your work.

Year 8
The year 8 curriculum builds on the formal events and allows students to build on and develop their skills from year 7.
You will work on themes over the academic year. These will cover cultural masks including Welsh culture and Movement studying various artists such as Bill Hall and Keith Haring.

Year 9
The year 9 curriculum allows students to develop their creativity and imagination.
Students will study the culture of Native American Indians while they develop their 3D skills. Students will then study the work of Arcimboldo and work on a Myself project. The third unit will allow students to explore Urban culture and Street Art. This year will equip the students with the knowledge and skills to progress to the next year.
