HOMEWORK FOUR - COLOUR MIXING
Produce an observed study of an object ( this means drawing the object from in front of you-not from a picture) Using coloured pencils colour the object showing shade and tone. Use the different line techniques to create value that you have learnt about in class. See the picture below for guidance.
HOMEWORK FIVE - TEXTURE
Take a photograph of your pet, if you have one ( if not get a good quality image off the internet of an animal).
Next on an A4 piece of paper, make a good sketch of the animal on the photo.
Resources: 2B pencil, photo, A4 paper.
Success Criteria:- Using a 2B pencil sketch the outline of your pet. Then you need to start adding in the features ( eyes/nose etc). When you are happy that you have drawn in the features start adding detail. Lastly you need to add texture.Using your pencil try and create texture ( look at the clip below to help).

Collect lots of different types of pattern. This can be done through photographing pattern (close ups of objects with pattern in/on them) or drawing pattern (rubbings are also good) or collecting flat things with pattern on (papers/napkins/ fabric etc) Keep them safe whilst you are collecting and then create an abstract piece of pattern art with the collection. See the example here.

Success Criteria :- Your poster should include pictures, information such as who is he? How did he make his artwork? process etc? What colours did he use and why?
Include (very important!) a paragraph explaining why you like/dislike his work and why!

TASK ONE:CREATE A TIMELINE ABOUT THE ARTIST MARC CHAGALL'S LIFE.
Research the life of the artist Marc Chagall. Create an interesting timeline showing important events in his life.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:

- You can create this A4 or A3 but it must be able to fit into your sketchbook.
- Make sure your work is neat and you have decorated the timeline in the style of Chagall.
- Think about the artists use of colour or how you could make the image 'dreamlike'.
- Above is a video that we will watch in class. You can see the interesting use of colour and dreamlike images. Think how you could incorporate this into your timeline!
